This classic french side dish is easy to make, goes great with chicken and fish, and is a great recipe to try when you are gettin tired of classic green beans.
1 pound of fresh green beans (trimmed)
juice of 2 lemons
6 tbsp of unsalted butter
1 cup sliced almonds
salt
Bring a pot of water to a boil, blanche green beans in boiling water for 30 seconds. Remove green beans, instantly place them in ice water and allow them to cool.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat, place green beans in the pan, season generously with salt, and cook until they are starting to turn a little bit brown.
Mix in sliced almonds and lemon juice, cook for 1 more minute, then serve
