This savory side goes great wtih steak and chicken, and can even be served as an appetizer with garlic toast.
1 pound white mushrooms chopped or sliced
3 tbsp minced garlic
juice of 1 lemon
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/8 cup white cooking wine
pinch of salt
Over medium heat, saute 2 tbsp of butter with the minced garlic, once garlic is aromatic add in the mushrooms and a pinch of salt. cook mushrooms until all liquid is gone from the pan, stirring occasionally.
Turn the heat up to medium high and add in the white wine, reduce wine till half the liquid is gone.
Turn the heat back to medium, add in the rest of the butter and the oyster sauce, stir frequently and cook for 30 more seconds.
Remove from heat, add the lemon juice and stir.
